Both systems operate within the same judicial environment, and clients with mixed-faith families or complex arrangements often need counsel that understands how each framework functions and interacts.

For many families, the first encounter with inheritance law comes unexpectedly — following the death of a parent or spouse, with no will in place and little familiarity with the legal steps required. The probate process, or the application for letters of administration, involves court filings, asset identification, debt settlement, and ultimately the distribution of an estate to beneficiaries.
